Opening to phenomenal reviews and enormous anticipation,
Sacha Baron Cohen's
hilarious antics in "Borat" have been called some of the best comedy in a long while. The over-the-top title character, a zany Kazakhstani TV reporter, was born on Cohen’s popular HBO series "Da Ali G Show", which saw a wide array of public figures embarrassing themselves in interviews with Cohen's moronic British ‘wanksta’. The feature-length "Borat" sees its politically incorrect hero discover the American heartland while on his way to California to court "Baywatch" star
Pamela Anderson
. "Borat" contains some of the most gut-rolling slapstick sequences to hit celluloid, but as with all of Cohen's work audiences can expect some painful moments of disturbing cultural insight.
