The 2008 MTV Movie Awards lived up its predecessors, with a string of colorful appearances and a rousing performance by Coldplay of their new single "Viva la Vida". One of the night's most memorable moments came from Seth Rogen and James Franco's presentation of the 'Best Summer Movie So Far' award, during which they threw in a hilarious promotion for their new film "Pineapple Express". Tom Cruise presented Adam Sandler with a 'Generation' award for his longevity and continuing popularity, and Johnny Depp made a rare public appearance to pick up his award for "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End". Amidst all the craziness (Sandler's rendition of "Nobody Does It Better" chief among it), a frightening lookalike of Javier Bardem's character from "No Country for Old Men" loomed over the proceedings.
