The 61st Annual Emmy Awards ceremony began with a song-and-dance by upbeat host Neil Patrick Harris. The evening was divided into five parts by TV genre, with the awards for comedy handed out first. Winners of the night included Alec Baldwin and Toni Collette for the Actors in Comedy Series, made for TV movie “Grey Gardens” starring Jessica Lange who won for Lead Actress. Best Comedy and Best Drama awards were won by favorites “30 Rock” and “Mad Men”. The red carpet dresses this year were all about color: Debra Messing , Hayden Panettiere and the winner Toni Collette went red, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Sandra Oh went for gold, and different shades of blue were worn by Vanessa Williams, Kate Walsh , Christina Applegate and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, but it was 8-months pregnant Heidi Klum , who turned heads wearing a strapless, jeweled black gown.
