John Martyn, an acclaimed singer-songwriter and guitarist, died on January 29 at an Irish hospital of unknown causes. He was 60. The prolific Martyn was a legend of the British folk scene, and famed for such classic early-1970s albums as "Bless the Weather" and "Solid Air."
