WIREIMAGE, HP AND KONTENT PUBLISHING TO CO-HOST PORTRAIT STUDIO AT 2004 TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
Photographer Jeff Vespa to Shoot Portraits of Festival Celebrities and Filmmakers
M•A•C Cosmetics and Cadillac Onboard as Key Sponsors
New York, NY, September 7, 2004 – WireImage, the largest entertainment photo wire service in the United States and a worldwide leader, today announced it will collaborate with HP to create the HP Portrait Studio presented by WireImage and Kontent Publishing at the 2004 Toronto International Film Festival. Filmmakers and participating talent will visit the studio during scheduled appointments to have exclusive photos taken by WireImage co-founder and photographer Jeff Vespa, who will head the company’s team of photographers and staff for the event.
Sponsored by HP, Kontent Publishing, M•A•C Cosmetics and Cadillac, the Portrait Studio is an exclusive destination for filmmakers and talent coming to Toronto to showcase their latest cinematic creations. CTV’s etalk Daily, Canada’s premiere entertainment show, has signed on as the Portrait Studio’s broadcast partner.
The HP Portrait Studio presented by WireImage and Kontent Publishing will operate Sept. 10-17, 2004 in the InterContinental Hotel’s Willard Room. Promising to be the hub of activity for the independent film community during the Festival, the space will be dramatically transformed into an exciting stylish studio and lounge. Celebrities will enjoy sipping cocktails, watching WireImage’s coverage of festival events in real-time, made possible by HP digital entertainment products, and taking away specialty gifts from the sponsors.
The Portrait Studio will also feature Kontent’s VIP concierge service, which includes a range of specialty services for celebrity guests and features Cadillac’s “Cars for Stars” program. M•A•C, the exclusive makeup provider for the Portrait Studio, will have two artists on-hand to touch up the talent with their new gilded shades of the M•A•C Rococo Fall collection. HP will also provide wireless Internet access for the Portrait Studio and the courtyard of the InterContinental Hotel. Large-scale color prints of Vespa’s celebrity portraits will be printed on an HP large-format printer and displayed in the Portrait Studio and in various areas around the hotel.
WireImage’s Portrait Studios at the Cannes, Sundance, Tribeca and Toronto Film Festivals have become one of the most popular attractions and a unique part of the independent film festival world. WireImage will service portraits, as well as photography from the Festivals’ star-studded premieres and events instantaneously to a wide range of domestic and international outlets with daily updates available at www.wireimage.com.
