Notes on a Scandal

Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett are electric in "Notes on a Scandal", a gripping drama about sexual misconduct at a high school. Blanchett plays Sheba Hart, an unassuming pottery teacher who has an affair with one of her students. Barbara Covett (Dench) had at first formed an unlikely bond with Hart, but upon the revelation of Hart's conduct she uses it as a professional opportunity. Featuring a sharp script from "Closer" playwright Patrick Marber, "Notes on a Scandal" has received several Golden Globe nominations, including acting nods for Dench and Blanchett. The film also sports a beautiful score from famed composer Philip Glass.
